Booking Terms & Conditions

These Booking Terms & Conditions apply to reservations made directly with Shades of Sicily – Fabrizio Corso (VAT / P.IVA IT02757810813). By confirming a booking, you agree to the following terms.
1. Booking Confirmation & Payments
A reservation becomes effective once a 50% deposit of the total rental amount has been received.
The remaining 50% balance must be paid at least 7 days before arrival.
Failure to pay the balance within the required timeframe may result in cancellation without refund.
Accepted payment methods include secure online payment and credit card.
2. Damage Deposit
A €500 damage deposit will be pre-authorised on your credit card at check-in and automatically released within 7 days after departure, provided no damage has occurred.
If damages exceed this amount, additional charges may apply.
3. Cancellation Policy
Guests may cancel up to 30 days before check-in and receive a full refund of the deposit paid.
Cancellations received less than 30 days before arrival are fully non-refundable.
Early departures and no-shows are non-refundable.
4. Non-Refundable Reservations
Guests may request a discounted non-refundable rate.
In this case, the initial 50% deposit is completely non-refundable under any circumstance, regardless of cancellation date.
The booking procedure and payment schedule remain the same.
5. Tourist Tax & Online Check-in
After booking, you will receive a link to complete the online check-in for all guests and, if applicable, pay the tourist tax directly via the form.
Completing the online check-in is required under Italian law in order to allow access to the property.
6. Check-in and Check-out
Check-in time: from 4:00 PM
Check-out time: by 10:00 AM
Early check-in and late check-out may be available upon request, only close to arrival or departure, subject to availability.
Guests may drop luggage from 11:30 AM on arrival day, if arranged in advance.
7. Included Services
The rental price includes:
• electricity
• water
• gas
• final cleaning
Tourist tax (if applicable) is collected separately through the online check-in system.
8. Guest Responsibilities
By booking, guests agree to:
• use the property responsibly
• follow house rules
• avoid parties and unauthorised events
• avoid smoking indoors
• respect neighbours and peaceful enjoyment
Smoking is permitted only in outdoor areas.
Any unregistered guests must be approved in advance.
9. Additional Charges
Extraordinary cleaning, repairs, or misuse of appliances may incur additional charges.
10. Liability & Force Majeure
Shades of Sicily shall not be held liable for:
• loss of personal belongings
• accidents caused by improper use
• flight cancellations, travel delays, or external disruptions
• events of force majeure (weather, strikes, restrictions, natural events)
Guests are responsible for arranging their own travel insurance.
11. Modifications
Changes to dates, number of guests, or stay details are subject to availability and may affect the rental price.
12. Governing Law
These Booking Terms are governed by Italian law and subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Trapani, Sicily.
